  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 300g ground beef
  • 300ml tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ¼ cup chives
  • 250g pinto or navy beans
  • Salt and pepper to taste;
  1. Start by sautéing the onion in olive oil.
  2. Add the meat and cook until it is brown.
  3. Add the tomato sauce and mix well.
  4. Season with cumin, salt, pepper and chives.
  5. Add the cooked beans and cook for a few more minutes.
  6. Before serving, remember to let it cool for 10 to 15 minutes.

Some tips:
- Smashing the beans a little will make the sauce thicker!
- Letting it cool is important, because in addition to making the texture firmer, it won´t make your nachos mushy.
- Try adding sour cream, it is WONDERFUL.
- And of course, cheese makes all the difference!
